Video
Our third unit of study in Digital and Interactive Media is video. Early in the semester we learned to create some simple movies with Windows Live Movie Maker, but now we explored and gained some experience with what the pros use: Adobe Premiere Pro, which is NOT a free download. We have five Mac computers with large monitors for editing; we have six video cameras; therefore, students have to work in small groups for video projects.
Our first video project consisted of creating a 30-second commercial like you might see on TV.
Next, as a class, we produced a newscast. Each small group was responsible for a segment and had to use the green screen in their project.
Our final video project consisted of creating a music video. Students could either write their own lyrics and set them to an original beat or use no more than 30-second song clips from popular songs (to obey fair use copyright laws). Click on the buttons below to view the videos.
