Animation
Our final unit of study in Digital and Interactive Media is animation. We start out slowly with a basic frame-by-frame animation program: Pivot Stickfigure Animator, which is a free download. It is a fun program, but, of course, not many students (and even myself) have the patience to accurately move the sticks every little move! You can view a couple of movies created with Pivot and Movie Maker on the Pivot page.
Next, we challenged ourselves a little further with 2D animation using Adobe Animate (formerly Flash), which is NOT a free download, but you can visit Adobe's website to learn more or perhaps download a free trial. We worked several tutorials to complete some mini projects and to learn to work the software, and then our study culminated with a narrated, animated children's story. Visit the Flash page below to see some of my students' projects.
