About the Instructor

Rachel Nelson teaches several technology courses at Honey Grove High School, a small 2A school in northeast Texas. The courses fall under the Career and Technical Education curriculum: Graphic Design and Illustration, Digital and Interactive Media, Web Technologies, Audio/Video Production, and Principles of Information Technology. She is also an academic UIL coach, yearbook adviser, and cheer coach.
Ms. Nelson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Austin College and then later earned her secondary education and English 6-12 certification from Texas A & M University - Commerce. She then returned to her alma mater and began teaching English and one technology elective. As her interest in technology grew, she added her Technology Applications EC-12 and Business Education 6-12 endorsements and eventually started teaching technology full-time.
